An artistic project that aims to connect people around the world, that were born on this special day.
In celebration of the 60th birthday of everyone born on 21 May 1962 anywhere on the planet, Guillaume Levy-Lambert, a conceptual artist, is regrouping in a global video call as many of his “Cosmic Siblings” as possible to share their big milestone – and for the first time the full story of Roy Lichtenstein’s painting Desk Calendar.
Desk Calendar is a painting by American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997), currently owned by a museum in Los Angeles, MOCA. This artwork depicts an appointment book opened on the date 21 May 1962.
It is at the heart of Guillaume’s life since he first saw it in the summer of 1999. Guillaume’s intention is to share the joy of knowing about the painting with his Cosmic Siblings – all the people born on any the same date, anywhere on the planet.
Guillaume started around 2017 to connect with people born on the same date as him, 21 May 1962. In a global Zoom call on 21 May 2020, for their joint 58th birthday, Guillaume connected cosmic siblings in Colombia, Mexico, Canada, USA, UK, France, Dubai, The Philippines and Singapore.
